The route
The 'Ronde du Ventoux' is a 50 km, or so loop that will be achieved several times both on Saturday and on Sunday. Governed by the rally regulations, this loop will include the 'Mont Ventoux' special stage which start will be given from the Saint Estève turn. The finish will be at the 'Col des Tempêtes' pass at the top of the hill, about 10 miles further.

The eligible cars
The event is open to any registered car, or the type of which, has participated in the Mont Ventoux hillclimb at the time (1902/1976).

How to participate in the event?
There will be two categories:

- Competition
- Regularity

Both the categories follow the same route and benefit from the same safety disposal, which is similar as the one set up for a rally.

Competition Section: as usual the fastest driver will be the winner. The car must have a FIA PTH and comply with the FIA International Sporting Code, Appendix K. The driver must possess a competition driving licence and the FIA approved gear. (helmet, overalls, gloves…)

"Regularity" Section: during the hillclimb, the competitors will be penalised for each difference between the time they chose and the time really achieved.

All cars must be equipped with a fire extinguisher.

The driver will present a "Regularity" licence, or the foreign equivalent.

He must wear a helmet complying with the NF (or equivalent) standards.

The classification

The "Ronde du Ventoux" is an event dedicated to classic cars. Therefore, it is very important and logical that the older cars are not disadvantaged. This is the reason why both a general classification and a category classification will be established during the whole event. The B to F period cars will be split from the G and H ones. Those latter ones will benefit from a specific classification, but they can in no way aim at the overall win.
